SAULT release new album ‘Acts of Faith’
It’s been nearly two years since enigmatic UK collective SAULT released five albums on the same day and they’re finally back with new music. The album is titled Acts of Faith and, in typical fashion, the album was released without advance notice and dropped for free as a WeTransfer download on Saturday.
Acts of Faith is one 32-minute track, all jazzy in its arrangement with flutes and synthesizers and groovy bass and drums. With featherlight, soulful vocals it’s all very The 5th Dimension. As will all of SAULT’s previous releases, it is lush, immaculately produced and transportive. You can download the album here.
The artwork they shared with the download is from the living room installation people had to walk through to attend SAULT’s December 2023 immersive live debut — you can the the refrigerator attendees had to walk through to enter the venue — and Acts of Faith was debuted at that show.
SAULT hinted that their would be more live performances after London, including NYC, Los Angeles and shows in Paris, Germany, and Africa, but so far no announcements or confirmation have been made.
