Rings Around Saturn introduces Cactus Head alias with a new album
The genre-hopping artist is adding to a list of at least half a dozen projects including Rings Around Saturn, Dan White, Turner Street Sound and Bleekman, which cover everything from jungle and dub to acid, ambient, electro and modular synth experiments.
Cactus Head sees McPike incorporating guitar and other live instrumentation into a more lo-fi aesthetic that he says “aims to capture feelings of late summer afternoons spent hanging out at the beach and in the deep suburbs getting up to no good.”
Delatite Odyssey is available digitally and as a limited run of 50 cassettes via the OTIS Records Bandcamp.
