NYC Nightlife United fund launches to raise money for venues, employees and artists in New York
The fund, launched in collaboration with the performing arts nonprofit The Solo Foundation, seeks to provide relief for spaces, artists and employees of nightlife venues and cultural institutions affected by the pandemic. The funds will be prioritized towards small businesses and independent artists.
Small businesses will be eligible for up to $20,000 in grants, while artists who can demonstrate cancelled gigs or events could receive up to $5,000. The fund is geared not only towards venue owners and artists but also bar managers, talent buyers, promoters, security staff and more. It will run for as long as needed.
Small business owners will be able to apply for relief starting on June 5th, with individual employee and artist applications estimated to open on July 5th. Check out full information on applications over at the official website.
