M. Ward preps best-of comp, plots fall tour including Cafe Carlyle residency

M. Ward has announced a new compilation For Beginners: The Best of M. Ward, which will be out September 13 via Merge. It collects “the 13 most requested songs from travels to all kinds of places” throughout his Merge discography along with a newly recorded cover of Godley & Creme’s 1985 hit, “Cry.”

In addition to the new best-of, M. Ward has also announced a fall tour that wraps up in NYC with a three-night residency at Cafe Carlyle on November 21-23. Tickets are on sale now. He also plays Merge Records’ 35th anniversary festival this week and all dates are listed below.
