Lo-fi cult artist Linda Smith getting new reissues, touring in April

Singer-songwriter, home-taping pioneer and cult artist Linda Smith has made spare, twee, DIY folk pop since the mid-’80s, and has had records out over the years on labels including Slumberland, Shrimper, and Harriet. Two of her best-loved releases — 1995’s Nothing Else Matters and 1996’s I So Liked Spring — are getting reissued this week by Captured Tracks, including their first-ever vinyl pressings and first time on streaming services. Linda will also doing a little East Coast touring in April with Baltimore’s The Smashing Times. Stop include Baltimore, DC, Philly and her first-ever Brooklyn show, which happens at Union Pool on April 14. All dates are listed below.
