Life is Beautiful to “hit pause” for 2024, throwing a block party
Las Vegas festival Life is Beautiful has been quiet since its 10th edition in 2023, and organizers have now announced that the fest will “hit pause” this year. Instead, they’ll be throwing a block party on September 27 and 28 in Downtown Las Vegas. The lineup is still to be announced, and they say that it’ll feature “an intimate atmosphere, no overlapping sets, and lower ticket prices, we can enjoy every artist together – all with a short walk from beloved spots like the Arts District, Symphony Park, East Fremont, and the Fremont Street Experience.”
“Ten years ago we set out on a mission to inject music, art, culture, connectivity and a bold new perspective into the foundation of our city’s urban core,” the message from organizers reads. “Life is Beautiful set out to prove the power of community, the power of we.” It continues:
Over time, we grew in force. An optimistic few grew to many. A modest gathering turned into an annual ritual, a major festival attended by hundreds of thousands and broadcasted around the world. A local initiative grew into a worldwide example. A name turned into a mindset. A mindset transformed a community and the lives of so many people within it.
As champions of that perspective, and stewards of this community we see it as our ongoing mission to create shared experiences that have a positive impact on the world around us; that continue to set an example; that uplift the people and ideas that propel us forward; that bring us together more frequently; that respond to and reflect the community and designs on its behalf.
For a number of reasons it was appropriate to hit pause on the Life is Beautiful Festival this year. We are hard at work reimagining and evolving the festival experience for the sake of you, the fans, and the incredible community that surrounds us. This event is not intended to replace the festival. For now, it gives us the opportunity to continue the annual tradition of gathering in Downtown Las Vegas to uplift one another, to express ourselves, and to connect. In time, the two will coexist.
We’re incredibly excited to dance with you in the streets once again. See you soon!
