Liam Gallagher says Oasis have made a new album and will play America

Not only are Oasis reuniting for 2025 tour dates, Liam Gallagher says they’ve already made a new album. Stereogum points out that when fans asked Liam on X/Twitter about the rumors of a new LP, he replied, “Yep, it’s already finished.” To another person he replied, “It’s in the bag mate fuck the air.”

When asked for a one word descriptions of the album, Liam replied “TURDOS.” Is that some slang that means something different than what you might think?

Oasis’ last album was 2008’s Dig Out Your Soul. As for the supposed new album, Rolling Stone notes that last year when Noel Gallagher was on their podcast, he mentioned he had been working on ” a very, very heavily guitar-based stadium rock album.” Could that be it?

Liam spent a good portion of last night on X/Twitter to “see how much trouble I can get myself into,” replying to people and while doing so seemed to confirm Oasis will play America. (It has been heavily teased.) When someone asked “liam can you speed up any announcements about whether or not oasis is coming to america,” he replied, “We are im there now I love it.” Elsewhere he said he was currently in Colorado.

Meanwhile, the reunion news has launched Oasis back into the UK charts. Definitely Maybe, which just celebrated its 30th anniversary with a new deluxe edition of the album, is the #1 album in the UK, their Time Flies best-of comp is at #3, and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? is at #4. Meanwhile, “Live Forever” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” are currently the #8 and #9 songs in the country.
