Liam Gallagher says “Nobody’s told me” about Oasis reunion amid reports of scrapped plans for Wembley Stadium gigs

UK tabloid The Daily Mirror reported Saturday that, according to unnamed sources, three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium this summer had been reserved for Oasis reunion shows which did not end up happening.

Back in February, Liam Gallagher told MOJO that brother Noel Gallagher had turned down an offer for an Oasis reunion and tour. “My people called Noel’s management team,” Liam told MOJO. “We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing — because we got offered it — and he said no. It was a big tour, a lot of money. He turned it down.” But according to The Daily Mirror’s sources that offer went as far as reserving July 8, 9 and 10 at Wembley. “Until now, no one has known how close Liam and Noel came to making it a reality,” the source told The Daily Mirror. “It doesn’t get much closer than booking Wembley, and their teams were devastated when it all collapsed yet again.”

NME notes that today Liam responded to someone on X/Twitter asking about 2025 reunion plans — which would also mark the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ Britpop classic (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? — saying, “Nobody’s told me maybe there getting a new singer like the dude out of queen,” making reference to Adam Lambert.

Liam Gallagher is currently celebrating Definitely Maybe‘s 30th anniversary by playing it with his solo band (which currently includes original Oasis rhythm guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs), a UK summer tour which kicked off June 1 in Sheffield.

A 30th anniversary deluxe edition of Definitely Maybe will be out August 30.
