Lana Del Rey brought out Billie Eilish, Jack Antonoff & Jon Batiste for Coachella weekend 1 (video)

Lana Del Rey closed out the first night of weekend one of Coachella on Friday (4/12), making an entrance on the back of a motorcycle through the crowd. She started her set with some songs she hasn’t played live in a few years — Born to Die‘s “Without You” and Ultraviolence‘s “West Coast” — along with her cover of Sublime‘s “Doin’ Time” from Norman Fucking Rockwell! (Sublime, with the late Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob on lead vocals, play the festival on Saturday).

Towards the end of her set, Lana brought out a few guests, starting with Jon Batiste for “Candy Necklace,” one of the Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd tracks he appears on. She took a spin on a pole during the song, and sat on the piano.

Next, as had been heavily rumored all afternoon on Friday, Billie Eilish came out for a pair of songs, a rendition of her own “ocean eyes” followed by Lana’s breakthrough single “Video Games.” Billie has spoken at length about Lana’s influence on her before, and onstage, Lana called Billie “the voice of a generation.”

For the encore, Lana brought out her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff, who had a holographic version of Lana sing with him on “Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me to Have – But I Have It.”

Weekend one of Coachella runs through Sunday, and you can stream it live, and see the set times.
