The magazine description:
They’ve sold millions of albums, garnered five Grammy nominations, and helped define American metal in the 21st century. Revolver’s new Lamb of God special collector’s edition tells the story of the Richmond, Virginia, NWOAHM trailblazers — from their gritty origins as Burn the Priest to their major-label breakthrough Ashes of the Wake (turning 20 this year) to what’s next — through new interviews with vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz.
The 100-page deluxe ad-free magazine also features commentary by famous fans including Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Gojira’s Joe Duplantier, Mastodon’s Troy Sanders and more. Thicker than a standard issue of Revolver, the collectible magazine features embossed type and UV coating on its cover, as well as all-access photography throughout.
The Lamb of God collector’s edition comes in two alternate covers — a band cover with photography by Travis Shinn, and a Warbird cover featuring artwork by longtime LOG artist K3n Adams.
The exclusive variants include:
- 1999’s Burn the Priest on “Martian” and “Fat Tuesday” vinyl
- 2000’s New American Gospel on “Marble 16 Opaque” vinyl
- 2003’s As The Palaces Burn on Orange Rust with Black Splatter vinyl
- 2004’s Ashes of the Wake on 2LP Red Velvet and Solar Flare vinyl
- 2005’s live album Killadelphia on 2LP Tigers Eye and Translucent Ruby vinyl
- 2006’s Sacrament, on “Royalty” and “Joker” vinyl
- 2009’s Wrath, on Opaque Custard and “Tinseltown” vinyl
- 2012’s Resolution on 2LP Milky Clear and Orange Smoker vinyl
Most of the albums are available on their own (and New American Gospel and As The Palaces Burn come with a copy of the magazine), and they’re also available in era-specific box sets, Burn To Ashes (1999-2004) and Kill Till Resolution (2005-2012). Plus, there’s a Super Bundle that comes with both box sets, both magazines, the statue, and the t-shirt.
