Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk & Bill Burr to star in ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ Broadway revival
David Mamet‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross is returning to Broadway in 2025, Variety reports. Patrick Marber (Closer, Notes on a Scandal, Leopoldstadt, etc) will direct, and it’ll star Kieran Culkin as Richard Roma, Bob Odenkirk as Shelly Levene, and Bill Burr as Dave Moss. Culkin previously performed on “This Is Our Youth” on Broadway, but it’ll be Odenkirk and Burr’s Broadway debuts.
“In 1983, I saw the original production of Glengarry Glen Ross in London,” Marber says. “I was just 19. The play blew my young soul away. It was one of the reasons I wanted to work in theatre. Forty years later, I am so thrilled to be directing it on Broadway with these incredible actors. I will do my utmost to ensure that this great American play brings audiences the same great pleasures it brought to me.”
Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold will be lead producers, and more details, including cast, dates, theater, and tickets are still to be announced; stay tuned.
Joe Mantegna (as Richard Roma), Robert Prosky (as Shelly Levene), and James Tolkan (as Dave Moss) starred in the original Broadway production, and the 1992 film, directed by James Foley, had Al Pacino as Richard Roma, Jack Lemmon as Shelly Levene, and Ed Harris as Dave Moss.
