John Frusciante announces new Trickfinger album for Avenue 66

John Frusciante will release his third Trickfinger album, She Smiles Because She Presses The Button, via Avenue 66 in June.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers member debuted his Trickfinger project—which makes use of tracker programs, modular and various hardware drum machines and synthesizers—on Acid Test back in 2015. The cult favourite musician has since built a reputation for his complex, Rephlex-style electronic experiments.

The six-track album, She Smiles Because She Presses The Button, comes via Acid Test’s leftfield sub-label, Avenue 66, which just put out Joey Anderson’s Rainbow Doll full-length.

Frusciante and Aura T-09 also recently launched a new label, Evar Records.
