James Murphy & Justin Miller DJing McCarren Tennis Association benefit
James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem and former DFA Records manager Justin Miller are DJing in Brooklyn to fundraise for the McCarren Tennis Association. Their all night (10 PM-4 AM) b2b set happens on October 10 at Good Room, and the event description reads:
McCarren Tennis Association is a 501c3 nonprofit, and your support helps fund everything from LED lights for evening play to court maintenance and future programming. We’re all about keeping tennis accessible for everyone, and by joining us, you’re directly helping to make that happen in the heart of Brooklyn.
This isn’t just about the music—it’s about serving the community. Your ticket ensures that Brooklyn’s public tennis courts remain accessible to everyone—regardless of income, background, or ability. You’re part of something bigger, helping us keep tennis available to all and creating a space for the whole community to enjoy.

LCD Soundsystem also have residencies in Los Angeles (eight nights at Shrine Expo Hall and Hollywood Palladium) and NYC (twelve nights at Knockdown Center, where they’ll also have opening bands, a record store pop-up, a Four Horsemen wine bar and more) coming up.
