Horse Lords touring around Solid Sound fest + listen to new live album

As good as Baltimore’s Horse Lords are on album, the best way to experience their interlocking, droning, repetition-infected, mathy majesty is to see them live. They were one of the highlights from this year’s Big Ears fest, and they’ll be at Wilco’s Solid Sound festival and the Vancouver International Jazz Festival at the tail end of June. Surrounding those festival appearances, Horse Lords have a few other tour dates, including NYC, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

The NYC show happens June 26 at Le Poisson Rouge, which is in-the-round. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 5 at 12 PM, with a presale happening now.

Horse Lords also just release As it Happened: Horse Lords Live which includes recordings from shows in London (2022), Paris (2023), Moers, Germany (2018), and Baltimore (2020). Listen to that below.
