Heavenly announce first West Coast shows in 29 years

Indiepop cult heroes Heavenly will be in NYC later in May for their first US shows since the ’90s. They’ve now announced they’ll be back in the fall for their first West Coast shows in 29 years. They’ll play Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and all dates are listed below.

The Seattle, Portland and San Francisco shows are with Swansea Sound, the indiepop supergroup led by Heavenly‘s Amelia Fletcher and Pooh Sticks‘ Hue Williams, and also featuring Heavenly’s Rob Pursey, The Dentists‘ Bob Collins, and Death in Vegas‘ Ian Button.

Heavenly’s NYC visit includes two sold-out shows at Market Hotel on May 31 and June 1, and a matinee at Trans-Pecos on June 1 with Swansea Sound, “pseudonymous secret guest” Franz Charcoal (Frankie Cosmos?), and DJ Kip Berman (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart) which still has tickets.

Swansea Sound also have East Coast tour dates with Janines in June, including NYC’s Knitting Factory at Baker Falls on June 8 with Young Adult Friction. All dates are listed below.
