Governors Ball 2024 Saturday pics & video (The Killers, 21 Savage, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sexyy Red, more)
After kicking off on Friday, Governors Ball‘s 2024 edition continued on Saturday (6/8) at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The Killers headlined, after playing a much more intimate show at Bowery Ballroom the night before, on the 20th anniversary of the release of Hot Fuss. The Gov Ball crowd got some Hot Fuss material, as well as songs from throughout their discography (but nothing from their most recent album, 2021’s Pressure Machine), and a couple of covers: Erasure‘s “A Little Respect,” and Yeah Yeah Yeah‘s “Maps,” which they worked into Battle Born track “Runaways” as an interlude. See their setlist, and video of their rendition of “Maps” below.
Saturday at Governors Ball also featured 21 Savage, TV Girl, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sexyy Red, D4VD, Sabrina Carpenter (who gave her new single “Please Please Please” its live debut), Doechii, and more. See pictures by Anna Downs, Deanie Chen, Josh Sobel, Maggie Friedman, N Bradley, Paigge Warton, Roger Ho, and Sam Balaban for Governors Ball, and Chris Phelps for The Killers below, along with a few attendee-taken videos.
