The Bloomington-based company, which includes Secretly Group, Secretly Distribution, The Numero Group and now, Ghostly International, has been distributing Ghostly since 2013. The merger “addresses the uncertainty of 2020 with a renewed emphasis on ambition, the socialization of ideas and greater scale for the artists and international network of employees both companies represent,” reads the press release on the merger.
In practice, Ghostly founder Sam Valenti IV will become a managing partner of Secretly, with Secretly Group’s four owners coming on as partners of Ghostly International’s music operations. The Ghostly International label as well as its publishing wing, Ghostly Songs, are now affiliated with Secretly. The latter will be administered through Secretly Publishing.
