Foxing announce new S/T album & premiere new song “Greyhound” in mock press conference video

Foxing recently announced the “TBA Tour,” sparking speculation that LP5 was on the way, and today they announced the album in a slightly unorthodox way. They put up a 23-minute “press conference” video with no one in the audience except a bunch of empty seats with publications’ logos on them (and just for the record, we were actually invited), and in it, their manager Joseph Marro (formerly of The Early November) announced that the band’s new album is self-titled, and that it was self-produced, self-recorded, and being self-released by the band on September 13 via their own Grand Paradise label. Joseph and the band then all sit in silence as Foxing premiere the album’s eight-minute lead single “Greyhound.”

After making their poppiest album yet with 2021’s Draw Down The Moon, “Greyhound” is a slow-burning, atmospheric song that finds the band getting noisier than ever. As with every Foxing album before it, it looks like they’re once again finding new territory to explore, and “Greyhound” earns its lengthy runtime. Check it out below, along with the album artwork and tracklist. Pre-orders are up on the band’s website now.

As previously mentioned, Foxing’s tour hits NYC October 29 at Racket. All dates are listed below.
