Emo nostalgia alert: My Chemical Romance, Armor For Sleep, Chiodos & more announce album tours
As we get deeper into the mid 2020s, the 20-year nostalgia cycle is bringing more and more mid 2000s emo bands out of the woodwork to perform classic albums in full. My Chemical Romance announced today that they’ll perform The Black Parade in full in 10 North American cities with different openers at every date, including the Pixies, Devo, IDLES, Garbage, Violent Femmes, Alice Cooper, 100 gecs, the double bill of Death Cab/Thursday in New Jersey, and more, but that’s not all.
Also today, fellow NJ emo vets Armor For Sleep announced that they’ll play their 2005 concept album What to Do When You Are Dead in full on a 2025 tour with support from fellow mid-2000s emo vets Boys Night Out and Hellogoodbye. For Boys Night Out, this is their first tour announced since singer Connor Lovat-Fraser re-activated the band with a new lineup with his former bandmates’ blessings (and also the blessings of fans).
The tour begins on March 6 in Boston and hits Brooklyn on March 8 at Warsaw before wrapping back up in the Northeast, including a show at Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theater on April 5. Tickets go on sale Friday (11/15) with presales beforehand. Here’s all dates:
