Eartheater details fifth album, shares music video
Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin was mostly composed and arranged over a ten-week artist residency at FUGA in Zaragoza, Spain. Entirely written, composed and arranged by the New York artist, the project recenters the use of guitar and acoustic instruments, recalling the instrumentation of her earliest works.
The album was inspired by geological imagery, whose turbulence and potential for genesis parallels Eartheater’s own life and relationships. The LP’s second single, “How To Fight,” has also been released in tandem with a music video. The album is set to land on October 2nd via PAN.
This spring, Alexandra Drewchin released the record’s RA-recommended first single. Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin is the follow-up to her 2019 mixtape Trinity, one of her most pop-focused albums to date.
