Dizzie Dayze – Live Fast

Dizzie Dayze – Live Fast

• Delicate vocal, clashing with the underground rhythm
• Fisher bassline against Future Rave lead
• Experimental approach that works!

Let’s be honest, Future Rave is rocking right now, and I’m thrilled to see many producers reinventing what Guetta & MORTEN have introduced to the EDM scene. This experiment by the Sidney-based Dizzie Dayze is a great example of what I’m talking about: let’s see what he has cooked up for us!

“Live Fast”, released via LOD Records, features a delicate vocal loop that enchanted me in the initial breakdown. It’s somehow sweet, with a soft lead that relaxes the listener, a common tactic I’m seeing in FR tracks: I appreciate that, it’s always fun to have a little clash between the different parts of the track.

Then, the drop: I was rather surprised to hear a familiar roboant bassline in pure Fisher style! Thinking about it, it was a great move by Dizzie Dayze, as the element fits well with the Future Rave lead, delvering a dynamic section that entertains with its own personality. The vocal loop was slightly repetitive there, if not unnecessary, but this is a minor detail. I was hooked by the melody and how well it was synergizing with the bassline, fusing together two genres that, personally speaking, haven’t been fully explored yet.

Concluding, I think that “Live Fast” has a great idea underneath, and the sound design is terrific. I didn’t connect with the vocal in the drop part, yet I liked it in the breakdown. Recommended to both Tech House and Future Rave lovers!
