Classic Omni A.M. album, Key, gets first vinyl and digital release

Key, the classic album by Chicago duo Omni A.M., is getting its first vinyl and digital release on Friday, December 11th.

Originally released in 1997, the ten-track LP, whose fans include Ricardo Villalobos, is a favourite among diggers, partly because it was only available as a limited-edition CD, which Marky Star and Adam Collins sold at events for their label, Euphoria Records. The original version is currently going for $500 on Discogs.

Key was both Omni A.M.’s debut (and only) album and the first release on Euphoria. The duo later relocated from Chicago to New York, where they continued making music.

Listen to Villalobos’s favourite track, “Naked Groove.”
