Chris Korda announces new album for Perlon called Apologize To The Future

Chris Korda‘s next album for Perlon is called Apologize To The Future.

Due out in September, the record’s six tracks look directly at climate change, economic inequality, intergenerational injustice and human extinction through a vocal-dense mix of electro-rap with techno and jazz influences, the label says. The lyrics, totalling some 1,200 words and sung by a “robotic choir,” are written from the perspective of future generations.

As is the case with Korda’s previous works like 2019’s Akoko Ajeji, she wrote the music on Apologize To The Future in complex polymeter, meaning different instruments adhere to different time signatures simultaneously.
