Camp Cope’s Georgia Maq shares new solo single “tropical lush ice,” playing LA show

Georgia Maq, formerly of Camp Cope (who broke up last year), has shared a new solo single. She wrote the harmony and fiddle-laden “tropical lush ice” with Daniel Fox and Morgan Nagler, and it was mixed by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner. Hear it below.

“I love vaping and being a stupid girl, and this song to me really encapsulates how I was feeling when I moved to Los Angeles from Melbourne after Camp Cope ended,” she says. “I want you to get in your car and drive somewhere with the windows down while listening.”

Georgia will play her first headlining Los Angeles show on November 14 at Permanent Records Roadhouse. Tickets are on sale now.

Camp Cope’s final album was 2022’s Running with the Hurricane, and Georgia released a solo album, Pleaser, in 2019. Pick up both on vinyl in the BV store.
