Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Yaya Bey & more playing NYC show celebrating Red Hot’s TRAИƧA comp
Last week Red Hot organization announced a new benefit compilation, TRAИƧA, which spotlights transgender and non-binary artists, and they’ve now announced the first in a series of shows to celebrate the comp. It happens at NYC’s Performance Space New York on September 28, with a lineup featuring artists from the comp performing their songs from it, including Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Yaya Bey, Green-House, Soft Rōnin, Niecy Blues, Joy Guidry, Asher White, Eli Winter, Time Wharp, Jamal Shakeri, Nsámbu Za Suékama, More Eaze, and special guests to be announced. Tickets are on sale now.
TRAИƧA features more than 100 artists over its 46 tracks, also including Sade, Jeff Tweedy, Julien Baker, André 3000, Perfume Genius, Moses Sumney, L’Rain, Laura Jane Grace, Cassandra Jenkins, Christian Lee Hutson, Grouper, Julie Byrne, Julianna Barwick, Pharoah Sanders, Arthur Baker, Moor Mother, Alan Sparhawk, Lomelda, Yaeji, Helado Negro, Sharon Van Etten, Fleet Foxes, Bartees Strange, Pharoah Sanders, Adrianne Lenker, Mary Lattimore, Laraaji, Devendra Banhart, Blake Mills, Sam Smith, Clairo, Hand Habits, Bill Callahan, and more. Glenn-Copeland also has an NYC show lined up at Pioneer Works on September 30, which is being billed as “Beverly Glenn-Copeland & Friends: The Salon Evening” and will feature “performances by Beverly Glenn-Copeland with an assortment of different collaborations from the artist’s friends and family, including Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland and special guests to be announced.”
