Barcelona queer collective MARICAS launches label with EP by resident ISAbella
Barcelona queer party and collective MARICAS is launching a vinyl-only label called MARICAS Records.
The first release, Audio Exótica, is by resident DJ and cofounder ISAbella. She set up the label alongside Eloisa Blitzer and Gina Guasch, who oversees the outlet’s visual identity. The EP, which spans five rave-ready tracks, is out now.
MARICAS was set up in January 2018 in response to a perceived lack of good, queer dance music nights in Barcelona. The collective has since hosted events in Paris and Amsterdam.
