Applications open for Scotland's Grassroots Music Venues Stabilisation Fund
The fund, originally announced in July, offers £2.2 million to “grassroots venues,” meted out in grants £5,000 and £50,000, to help stay open until the end of October. The application period began last week and ends later this week. Applications can be submitted here by venue owners or tenants.
Indoor permanent venues in Scotland with a capacity of less than 600 are eligible, with a possible exception for venues up to 1,000 capacity if they have a “significant grassroots focus.”
The venues must also prove that they were financially viable before the pandemic, and that the government funds are absolutely necessary in order to stay open.
All decisions on grants will be disclosed on September 22nd.
