Allegra Krieger announces new LP & tour with Greg Mendez, shares “Never Arriving”

Allegra Krieger will follow up 2023’s great I Keep My Feet On The Fragile Plane with a new album, Art of the Unseen Infinity Machine, due out on September 13 via Double Double Whammy. She calls it “more outward looking, more questioning,” than previous work, saying, “these songs are obviously extremely personal. But they also sucked the whole world in.” See the cover art and tracklist below.

The first single is “Never Arriving,” which has her joined by drummer William Alexander, bassist Kevin Copeland, and guitarist Jacob Drab. “In this song I imagine a world without violence, or possessiveness, where we keep moving through life, for the sake of wonder and curiosity, not for the sake of attainment, or arrival,” she says. “I think the true points of arrival are birth and death, and everything in between, all of the turmoil and fighting, are the makings of our own corrupted souls. It’s a song begging for softness, in a world that can feel so harsh.” Watch the video, directed and filmed by Joe Ahem, below.

Krieger has also announced a fall tour with Greg Mendez, which wraps up with an NYC show at Baby’s All Right on October 30. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, June 28 at 10 AM local.
