A.G. Cook announces new LP ‘Britpop,’ shares title track ft. Charli XCX
A.G. Cook announced a new album, Britpop. He his PC Music label stopped releasing new music after 2023 (it’s now “dedicated to archival projects and special reissues”), and Britpop will be out on his new label, New Alias, on May 10. It’ll feature 24 tracks throughout three parts, Past, Present, and Future, including a tribute to the late SOPHIE, “Without.” The first single is the title track, which features vocals from Cook’s regular collaborator Charli XCX. It debuted at Charli’s Brooklyn Boiler Room set on Thursday night (2/21), and you can hear it below.
Charli also previewed some new music at the Boiler Room event, which happened at 99 Scott, including “365” and “Von Dutch,” and danced with Addison Rae to “2 die 4.” Also on hand were Julia Fox (who performed a new song), Doss, Easy Fun, and George Daniel. Watch attendee-taken video below.
