9 New Songs Out Today
So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
SEABLITE – “FADED” (ANDY BELL GLOCK REMIX)
“It’s no secret that we are massive Ride fans and have also been following Andy Bell’s GLOK project and his collaborations with artists on remixes for a while,” say Seablite of Andy Bell’s GLOCK remix of “Faded” from last year’s Lemon Lights. One day, I finally reached out to Andy to see if he would be interested in working on the remix for one of our songs from the Lemon Lights and he was into it! We shared 4 different tracks with him to see what would inspire an idea for him, and the track he picked was a b-side track “Faded”. We were very excited about this pick, because not only the song is about going to a rave, but also has a lot of experimental layers and makes perfect sense for a dance remix. The remix was ready pretty quick, and we were ecstatic about it! We absolutely love the arrangements and groove of the track. To keep the project in the Ride family, we reached out to Mark Gardener to master it and it all came together beautifully. To say how thrilled we are about this collaboration would be an understatement! To package it all in a nice, as we all call it, a “visual salad” we worked with our videographer Jenn Heard who created a beautiful and vibrant video for the song.”

SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE – “SUMMER’S LAST RAYS”
“‘Written when Autumn was just on the horizon in 2022, the interlocking guitars on ‘Summer’s Last Rays’ are an attempt to mirror the balance of the end of Summer,” Six Organs of Admittance’s Ben Chasny says of the second single from the upcoming Time is Glass. “The main riff of the song is something I’ve been playing live for a couple decades now but has never ended up on a record. Of course with everything that seems in balance, it only takes a little push before it all collapses and a more ominous element rises. It wouldn’t really be a Six Organs song if it didn’t.”

JOSIENNE CLARKE – “MOST OF ALL”
Scotland-based singer-songwriter Josienne Clarke announced a new album, Parenthesis, I, due out on May 10 via Corduroy Punk. The lead single is “Most of All,” which Clark says is “a licking of wounds and counting of blessings, taking stock and setting straight in my head. It’s one of those songs where I’m a bit exposed and I almost can’t bring myself to share it. Several times I nearly took it off the tracklist, but experience has taught me, those ones end up being among my audience’s favorite songs.”
