31 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

LINKIN PARK – “FRIENDLY FIRE” (PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED)

Linkin Park have announced Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023), due April 12 via Warner. It’ll feature this previously unreleased power ballad from the sessions for the band’s final album before Chester Bennington’s death, 2017’s One More Light.

SZA – “SATURN”

After debuting the song in a MasterCard commercial that aired during the 2024 Grammy Awards (where she performed “Snooze” and “Kill Bill”), SZA has officially released the studio version of “Saturn,” a lush, airy R&B track.

CAN – LIVE IN PARIS 1973

The latest in Mute / Spoon Records series of live Can documents is the first to feature the late, great Damo Suzuki and was recorded at L’Olympia in Paris on May 12,1973. While Can shows were highly improvised with no setlist, you can hear elements from Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi in these lengthy, awesome jams.

SMINO – “MISTER MISFIT BUT AIN’T MISSED A FIT IN MONTHS”

St. Louis rapper Smino is back with his first single of 2024 (and with a very tongue-twisting title). He’s in top form on it, and we’re excited to hear more.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE – “DROWN”

Justin Timberlake has shared the second single from his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, and this one’s a little more in moody, early 2010s-style R&B territory compared to the sweeping balladry of lead single “Selfish.”

SELENA GOMEZ – “LOVE ON”

Selena Gomez has been working on a new album, and while you wait for more on that, she’s shared a disco dance-pop love song.

GROUPLOVE – “CHANCES”

Ahead of their tour with Bully, Grouplove have shared new single “Chances.” It’s a dose of driving indie pop and vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper screams a little on this one too.

GREED WORM – “CHAOS THEORY”

More metallic hardcore from Chicago’s Greed Worm.

TEENS IN TROUBLE – “IT’S UP TO ME”

If you miss Blue Album-era Weezer, this Teens In Trouble song scratches the itch.

SAWEETIE – “RICHTIVITIES”

West Coast rapper Saweetie induces some late ’90s/early 2000s nostalgia with new anthem “Richtivities.”

AUDREY NUNA – “STARVING” (ft. TEEZO TOUCHDOWN)

Audrey Nuna and Teezo Touchdown team up for an alt-pop / alt-rap fusion.

MATT KOZIOL – “OLD FASHIONED” (ft. ISAAC GIBSON of 49 WINCHESTER)

Country singer Matt Koziol has announced his sophomore album, Last of the Old Dogs, due April 5 via RED Creative Group. Along with the announcement comes a rustic collab with 49 Winchester’s Isaac Gibson.

TENILLE TOWNES – “AS YOU ARE”

More country: Tenille Townes drops off this affecting ballad.

HUSBANDRY – “DROP BY DROP”

NYC band Husbandry’s new song will bring you right back to the late ’90s radio rock era.

GARY CLARK JR. – “ALONE TOGETHER” FT. KEYON HARROLD

Gary Clark Jr collaborates with jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold on the latest single from his new album JPEG RAW.

GUILTLESS – THORNS EP

Guiltless is the current project of A Storm of Light Leader (and former Neurosis visual artist) Josh Graham, and their new EP is out today via Neurot.

FREE NATIONALS – “GANGSTA” (ft. A$AP ROCKY & ANDERSON .PAAK)

Anderson .Paak and his frequent backing band Free Nationals team back up for a lush new rap song that also features A$AP Rocky.

SIR – “KARMA” (ft. ISAIAH RASHAD)

R&B singer SiR has announced a new album, Heavy, due March 22 via TDE, and lead single features his labelmate Isaiah Rashad.

CAKES DA KILLA – “DO DAT BABY” (ft. DAWN RICHARD)

Cakes Da Killa taps Dawn Richard for the latest Black Sheep single.

STARS HOLLOW – “ACNE SCARS”

Des Moines emo band Stars Hollow have announced a new EP, In The Flower Bed, due April 5 via Acrobat Unstable, and lead single “Acne Scars” is an impassioned first taste, fleshed out by breezy acoustic guitars, delicately clean post-rock elements, and more.

STILL CORNERS – “CRYSTAL BLUE”

UK duo Still Corners have shared a third single from upcoming album Dream Talk. “Crystal Blue” is dreampop with a serious slow-jam fixation.

MOBY X ANFISA LETYAGO – “YOU & ME”

“I love how this song feels like a late night/early morning dream,” Moby says of his collaboration with Anfisa Letyago. Along with the original mix, there are extended remixes by Deetron, Girls of the Internet, and Moby himself.

PYE CORNER AUDIO – THE ENDLESS ECHO CLIPS

Synth wiz Martin Jenkins has announced his fifth album as Pye Corner Audio, titled The Endless Echo, which will be out April 5 via Ghost Box. While he hasn’t shared a full song from the album, you can listen to snippets of five tracks from the album now.

KATE CLOVER – “DAMAGE CONTROL”

Garage rocker Kate Clover has announced new album The Apocalypse Dream which is out April 5 via SVR. The album was produced by Fucked Up’s Jonah Falco and this is the new single which Kate describes as “self-destruction and walking the line between good and bad.”

PAUL WELLER – “SOUL WANDERING”

Paul Weller’s 17th solo album features contributions from Noel Gallagher, Suggs of Madness, Richard Hawley and more. First single “Soul Wandering” was cowritten with Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie who says, “If you had told the teenage me who was a fanatical fam of The Jam that one day I would co-write a song with Paul Weller I would have thought you were insane. I am truly blessed.”

HALF PAST TWO – “DOMINOES”
