TikToker Chris Olsen Says He’s a Victim of Revenge Porn: ‘It’s Violating’
Speaking Out
“You are a criminal now if you’ve done that,” he said
TikTok star (and Meghan Trainor’s best friend) Chris Olsen is speaking out about his experience dealing with revenge porn over the past few years. In a TikTok video earlier this week, Olsen revealed that he was targeted by an X account that shared intimate images without his consent.
“It’s nonconsensual. It’s violating. It’s fully abuse and illegal,” he said amid tears. “You are a criminal now if you’ve done that.”
Olsen said he first had intimate images leaked four years ago. He recounted how he made an account on Twitter and reached out to the person who posted the images, who allegedly responded by asking his followers to download the intimate photos before deleting them from his account.
“After that, I was basically done for,” he said. “I’m still dealing with this today… It never stopped.”
Olsen explained that intimate photo and video leaks “happen all the time” to influencers and celebrities, and nothing makes it OK. He also shared that some of the images seemed to be deepfakes or photoshopped to make them appear like they’re him.
“If you’re contributing to this, you’re contributing to a culture of abuse,” Olsen said in the video. “And to say that someone with a platform deserves this or should expect this because this is the job that we’ve chosen is absolutely insane.”
“I know people don’t like me. I know that. But can you please find a more creative way to hate on me than committing a crime?” he added. “I’ve made my point: This sucks. This is not fun.”
In the last two months, several high-profile individuals have been associated with revenge porn-related lawsuits. Hunter Biden sued Fox News on July 1 for publishing “intimate images,” and late last month, Diplo was sued for allegedly sharing videos of their sexual encounters without her consent.
