Turner Classic Movies Added to Fandango at Home with Free Films Streaming Weekly
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has linked up with Fandango to add 30 classic films from the TCM catalog to the ticketing service’s streaming platform, Fandango at Home, as Deadline reports. All 30 films are available for purchase or rental now, and select films will be available to stream for free, rotating on a weekly basis.
Including iconic flicks like Rebel Without a Cause, The Dirty Dozen, and Cool Hand Luke, the first round of free movies is set to arrive later this week, with the promotion extending through May.
The new partnership arrives ahead of the 15th anniversary of the TCM Classic Film Festival, which is set to take place from April 18th to April 21st. As part of the initiative, Fandango is a presenting sponsor for the upcoming event.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Turner Classic Movies to provide fans access to beloved classic films, some for free for the first time,” SVP of OTT/Streaming for Fandango, Cameron Douglas, stated. “Through this new relationship, we aim to celebrate the rich cinematic history represented by TCM’s extensive film library and offer our dedicated users special deals and offers.”
The news comes as the latest update in a series of streaming-related changes for TCM. Their flagship streaming platform FilmStruck was a casualty of AT&T acquiring TCM’s parent company WarnerMedia in 2018, and the brand’s presence on Max has only gotten muddier after the Warner Bros Discovery merger. Such tribulations, as well as 2023 layoffs, alarmed fans and filmmakers alike, leading Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and Paul Thomas Anderson to intervene with an emergency meeting.
Fandango at Home, for its part, is also in the midst of change. Originally known as Vudu, the streaming service re-branded in February, ending Vudu’s two-decade-long run.
