For Kelce, the role marks a move towards acting that some folks have been anticipating (especially since he signed with CAA last year). In March 2023, he hosted Saturday Night Live to general acclaim, displaying his natural charisma. Last fall, he appeared on Saturday Night Live again alongside Swift. He also recently landed a gig as host of Prime Video’s reboot of the quiz show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Of course, all of this comes as Kelce is still a very busy athlete — Grotesquerie will likely premiere as he plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. Last month, he signed a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs.
