Snoop Dogg Wants to Collab with Dolly Parton — Maybe at the Olympics
Snoop Dogg’s interested in expanding his circle of collaborators. “I’d love to do a song with Dolly Parton, can you hook that up?” Snoop told reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on February 14th, adding that “she brings it.”
The rapper and media personality was making a surprise appearance on a panel discussing NBC’s upcoming broadcast of the upcoming 2024 Olympics. Snoop had previously offered up commentary on the 2021 games alongside Kevin Hart, and NBC will be bringing him to Paris to provide live commentary on this year’s games as well.
The mention of Parton didn’t come out of nowhere, as the country (and now rock!) performer previously released her cover of Queen’s “We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You” during the summer of 2023 as a celebration of the upcoming Paris games. However, NBC Olympics executive producer Molly Solomon added that she wasn’t ready to offer any specifics about further collaboration with Parton.

Expect to see a fair amount of Snoop during the Olympics, by the way, as he’ll be participating in field packages as well as speaking with athletes on the ground. When asked about his approach to commentary — specifically whether he does thorough research on the athletes competing, or comes in cold, Snoop replied that, “I never come in cold, I always come in hot… Don’t worry about research, I know everything about everybody.
When Solomon asked Snoop what his title should be, his response was, “O.G.” Continued Snoop, “We plan on shaking it up.”
Snoop Dogg remains one of the busiest men in entertainment, as he and Dr. Dre are currently collaborating on a Gin and Juice canned beverage, just one of his many entrepreneurial projects. The 2024 Olympic Games begin Friday, July 26th, with NBC broadcasting in the United States.
