Now You See Me 3 to Reunite Original Cast
Lionsgate spilled more details about Now You See Me 3 at CinemaCon 2024 on Wednesday (April 10th), revealing the sequel will feature the original cast alongside “a new generation of magician thieves,” reports DiscussingFilm.
As previously announced by Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake in an investor call last year, Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer will helm the movie. At the time, Drake described the sequel as a “reimagining” of the first two films and said production was slated for this spring.
Last month, star Jesse Eisenberg gave another update, telling Collider that he had already read the script for Now You See Me 3. He also speculated production could begin in “the next six months.”

Directed by Louis Leterrier, the original Now You See Me was released in 2013 and starred Eisenberg as the leader of the Four Horsemen, a group of bank-robbing magicians also comprised of Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco.
The 2016 sequel, directed by Jon M. Chu, saw the return of the Four Horsemen (with Lizzy Caplan as a replacement for Fisher) in a new caper involving an elaborate heist. It’s currently unknown whether Fisher or Caplan — or both actors — will be involved in the third film.
