NAEMS & Wyko – Muchacho (Feat. Mavzy GRX)

79%%Overall Score

• A true festival weapon
• Mexican-Hispanic themed instrumental
• Resonant vocal unleashing power

NAEMS and WYKO don’t require any sort of introduction. Both upcoming aliases have built-up meticulous reputation from ground-up, well known and deemed esteemed in the Festival music community. They have collaborated on a previous occasion before, having supported by the fine imprint of Nik Cooper. A sequel to their “Kali”, which was revealed last year by the mentioned parties, has come out. “Muchacho” is the brand-new spicy creation from the pair, having surprised everyone by its unexpected but a refreshing arrival.

Adhering itself to the classic Psy-Trance mantra and an iconic anthem-type hook, the song doesn’t fall prey to easy objectives to get the crowd going, rather concluding in a wonderful experiment worth listening. Here, WYKO’s panache fits perfect for a Mexican-inspired tune mixed in with equal amounts of NAEMS’s vibrancy to form a winning combination.

The real deal is seized best by the guitar and trumpets, which lend a lively and natural atmosphere. Being incredibly fetching, the vocal could have more potential to put a cherry on top of this otherwise amazing interlude. Mavzy GRX contributed an admirable output, apart from the fact that she has capability to unleash the required sentiments to fullest, which happens to sizeable extents.

Conclusion dashes in with a monumental riser section that I fell in love with, this time opting for a harder Psy-Trance groove with a melody that slacks somewhat from repetitiveness. Regardless, “Muchacho” is a piquant work and an effective reminder to the electricity and sheer energy in festival ambience.
