The breezy, country-adjacent track was co-written and produced with Ian Fitchuk, who also worked closely with Kacey Musgraves on her recent album, Deeper Well. In a statement, Rogers shared, “I’ve mentioned before that this album was written over the span of five days — ‘So Sick of Dreaming’ was written just before lunch on day two.”

While “So Sick of Dreaming” is a more upbeat preview that listeners have received of Don’t Forget Me, there’s still a playful edge to it. “Everybody knows you — what’s so good about that?” she asks. The bridge then gives Rogers room to spill the real tea, and she recounts the story of a date getting canceled last-minute when the other party involved ditched a reservation for Knicks tickets. “I had two martinis at the bar and went to meet my friends down the street/ What a loser…And by the way, the Knicks lost.”
