Jamwich & Morgan Phillips – The Garden
78%%Overall Score
• Sprightly melody
• Sensual and a catchy vocal
• Summer vibes for a rather cold autumn
I lost track of Futurized a couple of months for unexplainable reasons. Perhaps I was busier poking my head searching for filthier Dubstep songs or anything closely related… Never mind. One recent day, I happened to ask on our Discord server (join, if you haven’t already) for anything interesting to talk about and received a gem, from the Futurized boss himself: KULI (formerly Hypnotune). As someone who’s not much into the Future Bounce genre, this one caught my attention like no other. A surprise that made me talk about it, so before I even begin, thank you for your submission KULI!
Anyways, Jamwich & Morgan Phillips did an impressive work with “The Garden”. While the vocal part of things, despite being from an uncredited vocalist, does a lively performance with a sensual tone and memorable songwriting. The old-school type build-up is effective, a nice addition but nothing much intricate to be discussed about.
Presenting a drop segment that gets as ear-candy it can get, the melodic aspects are creative with a dash of Progressive and Future House going together, fitting excellently. This is one of those Future Bounce record that we would have nearly missed hadn’t it been for the diligent heads-up. Even if not experimenting heavily, the creators took all the classic and time-tested elements of the genre and produced an energetic and summery one!
