NO WORRIES! I am not going to rickroll like those discord pranksters and goofsters, I am not that type of guy. I would never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

Anyways, there is more to discuss. Promising Asian talents JuHyung & KYNAN joined forces to craft a remix for the overtly endeared vintage “Never Gonna Give You Up” from the veteran English singer, Rick Astley. Taking a risk mightier than investing on dogecoin, they have created a festival version in a world where festivals hardly happen anymore. Yet, refreshing to hear.

They went by the same old-school structuring in order to conceive this edit. The climatic part of the vocal is the cherry on the top, as they added a renewed melody with a retro sound, genuinely catching me by surprise (much like the meme wants us, yes). It is a great way to introduce to the actual hook, although completely renovated for this special occasion. An excellent first drop comes up- basically a newer Big Room remodeled with Tribal influences.

Using the effective formula that scored well in the prior section, both producers didn’t go much from there; they stuck to the formula in the second part, except a few elements that get added to the cadence and starting of the final drop.

If classic and standard Big Room’s your thing, I bet you will prefer this. With a revamped melody and a heavy 2015-ish Bassjackers sound, this is by far the most appreciable and splendid part of the tune.

This remix is at the height of its notorious predecessor, a perfect hybrid synthesized of the old and new, not to mention the three separate distinct riffs. A stunner of a live-gig version that deserves to played aloud in the coming times!
