Romy from The xx releases new single, 'Lifetime'
The xx co-founder Romy has released her debut solo single, “Lifetime.”
“Lifetime” was written in London during lockdown. The song focuses on the euphoria of being reunited with friends, family and loved ones. While it’s Romy’s first solo single, she co-wrote all three albums by the The xx, along with songs for Mark Ronson, Benny Blanco and Dua Lipa.
The new tune looks back on her long history with dance music and DJing, which she picked up again with recent sets at clubs and festivals. “Lifetime” was co-produced with Fred again.. and Marta Salogni.
Check out the lyric video, created by designer Patrick Savile and the animator Connor Campbell.
