Space Dimension Controller launches new label Tiraquon Recordings

Space Dimension Controller is starting a new record label called Tiraquon Recordings.

Following a 12-inch on Dekmantel and some self-released material on Bandcamp, including two EPs and an extensive collection of early unreleased cuts, Jack Hamill continues a productive 2020 with another new record to inaugurate the Tiraquon imprint. The two-track Space Grunt serves as the first in a series that serves as an outlet for more straightforward, dance floor-oriented tracks.

“After the loved up album on R&S at the end of last year, I wanted to make something less conceptual and more dancey,” Hamill explains. “These tracks do take place in the wider SDC universe, little micro stories/characters if you will. Stripping back the concept stuff allowed me to make something that I could actually play out in a DJ set because usually my stuff isn’t banging enough. To stop myself from getting too obsessive with layering, details and arrangement, I limited myself to two drum sources and two synths.”
