Avalon Emerson mixes 72nd DJ-Kicks

!K7‘s next DJ-Kicks mix comes from Avalon Emerson.

An exclusive new track from Emerson, “Wastelands & Oases,” joins five more of her productions—some previously unreleased—on the 20-track mix, which also includes music from Soundstream, Oceanic, Oklou, Oni Ayhun, !!! (Chk Chk Chk) and General Midi.

“I wanted it to be representative of how I sound in the club while incorporating new original music,” Emerson says. “I thought of it as a good opportunity to summarize the last few years of DJing for me and share my original productions, covers and remixes.” The mix moves through a range of tempos and genres across its 70-minute runtime, from house and techno to rave and Italo, according to the label.

Emerson’s release follows Mr. Scruff’s contribution to the series, which marks its 25th anniversary this year.
