Chris Cornell film 'Black Days' set to begin filming next month
It’s been announced that ‘Black Days’, a film which will focus on the last days of Chris Cornell‘s life, will begin filming in September.
The movie, which will star John Holiday (Walk The Line, CMT’s Sun Records), is being produced by Los Angeles-based film production company AmeriFilms LLC and Road Rage Films.
It will be based on true events that took place during the last days of the grunge music icon’s life. The Soundgarden and Audioslave singer died in 2017 after being found hanged in his room at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel.
The film’s producers have said they will be applying extra precautions during filming due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Blabbermouth. Most actors will be filmed by themselves with a small crew, who will wear masks and adopt social distancing measures.
According to Backstage, the film will start filming next month.

Last month, an unreleased cover of a Guns N’ Roses track by Cornell was shared on what would have been the musician’s 56th birthday (July 20).
‘Patience’, an acoustic song originally released on Guns N’ Roses 1988 compilation album ‘Lies’, is given some percussion and keyboard melodies for Cornell’s rendition.
15-year-old Cornell performed the cover as part of the Lollapalooza livestream, Lolla2020.
In other news, the memorial statue of Chris Cornell in his hometown of Seattle has been vandalised.
As reported by KIRO 7 News, an unknown vandal defaced the bronze statue on Thursday (August 20) by covering it with white paint.
