RUFUS WAINWRIGHT

Rufus Wainwright has a busy schedule ahead, including intimate NYC shows (Cafe Carlyle on October 15-19) and a not-so-intimate NYC show (Carnegie Hall on November 29). At the latter, he’ll perform his 2023 album Folkocracy with a six-piece band, including his sister Lucy Wainwright. All upcoming Rufus dates are here.

DEFTONES / THE MARS VOLTA / FLESHWATER

Deftones have announced their first headlining tour since 2022.

MOGWAI

Post-rock greats Mogwai have announced 2025 tour dates, and hopefully by the time they visit we’ll have a new album.

THE ZUTONS TOUR POSTPONED

UK band The Zutons were set to start their first North American tour in 18 years this Friday in Toronto, but all dates have been postponed.

THE FRANK AND WALTERS

Irish indie vets The Frank and Walters will be heading to NYC to play The Broadway on March 15. It’s the only North American show currently on their schedule.

ALCEST

Alcest return to North America starting in February supporting their fantastic new album Les Chants De L’Aurore. It’s their first tour here in seven years and opening is Kælan Mikla.

CHELSEA WOLFE

Chelsea Wolfe will be playing “stripped-back” shows this fall.

TIM HEIDECKER / NEIL HAMBURGER / DJ DOUGGPOUND

Tim Heidecker will be back out in 2025 with his Very Good Band, plus Neil Hamburger and DJ Douggpound at select shows.

GOV’T MULE NEW YEAR’S SHOWS

Gov’t Mule have announced their annual New Year’s Eve run, which this year happens December 28 at College St Music Hall in New Haven, CT, followed by two nights at NYC’s Beacon Theatre on December 30 & 31. The shows also celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years,” says head Mule Warren Haynes. “It’s also hard to believe we’ve been celebrating New Year’s together for over 20 years. These are always such special shows for us. I’m looking forward to being with the band revisiting some of the stuff we haven’t played in a long, long time and, of course, being with our incredible fans.”

JOE RUSSO’S ALMOST DEAD

Joe Russo will bring his Almost Dead Grateful Dead tribute band to Port Chester, NY for a three show run at Capitol Theatre on January 17-19.

WEDNESDAY (SOLO)

While guitarist MJ Lenderman is busy touring his new solo album, Wednesday leader Karly Hartzman will be on the road solo with Cryogeyser.

LAMBRINI GIRLS

UK band Lambrini Girls, who toured with Amyl & The Sniffers in the US this year and will open for IDLES in London in November, will be back in NYC later this fall to play Union Pool on December 3. They’ve also announced UK/EU tour dates for 2025.

BLOOD BROTHERS TOUR OPENERS

The Blood Brothers have announced different openers for every night of their upcoming reunion tour, and the list of bands is genuinely awesome.

L7 FAST AND FRIGHTENING TAKEOVER

Alt-rock greats L7 are throwing their own mini festival in Los Angeles this fall at The Belasco called the Fast and Frightening Takeover with Redd Kross, Surfbort, ADULT., and more.

HOLIDAY CHEER FOR FUV 2024

WFUV has announced its annual Holiday Cheer show, that this year moves to Brooklyn Paramount on December 11. The lineup includes The Head & The Heart, Margo Price, Bartees Strange and Infinity Song, and it’s hosted by Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie.

ALLISON RUSSELL

Allison Russell is taking over the role of Persephone in the Broadway production of Hadestown, which means she’s had to reschedule her fall tour with Kara Jackson to 2025. The new NYC date is May 6 at Webster Hall. All dates are here.

REGINA SPEKTOR

Regina Spektor will play a holiday show at Brooklyn club Warsaw on December 10. It’s currently the only show on her schedule.

ORIONS BELTE

Oslo trio Orions Belte have announced a late winter 2025 North American tour which kicks off February 21 in LA and wraps up March 23 in Philadelphia.

LIQUID MIKE / GROWING STONE

Prolific Michigan power poppers Liquid Mike will play their first NYC show at Baby’s All Right on October 2. That’s with Growing Stone, aka the solo project of Taking Meds’ Skylar Sarkis. After that, Liquid Mike support The Wonder Years and The Menzingers on their fall tour, and Growing Stone opens some shows for Public Opinion.
