The Deslondes prep new LP, touring with Shannon & The Clams ++ more dates (hear “Take Me Back”)

New Orleans band The Deslondes have announced a new album, Roll It Out, which will be released September 6 via New West. “This band feels like the old family farm,” says frontman Sam Doores. “It’s a place where we can meet for the Fourth of July, bring our families, grill some burgers, and make some music together. It’s always going to be there, and we know it’s going to work and feel good.”

The first single from the album is “Take Me Back,” which has a warm, inviting honky-tonk feel. The video for the song features footage of the band from back in the day, which fits the theme of the song, and you can watch that below.

In addition to the new album, The Deslondes have a busy tour schedule, including dates opening for Esther Rose and Shannon & The Clams. Apart from these tours, they’ve got a few NYC shows, including a free show at Skinny Dennis on September 5 and Gottscheer Hall on September 6 for Honky Tonkin’ in Queens. They’ll also be in town for the Brooklyn Folk Festival on November 8. All dates are listed below.
