Dale Crover (Melvins) preps new solo LP ft Tom Waits, Ty Segall, Kim Thayil & more, shares “Doug Yuletide”

Dale Crover of Melvins and Redd Kross has announced his third solo album, Glossolalia, which will be out September 13 via Joyful Noise. The album features contributions from Tom Waits, Ty Segall, Soundgarden‘s Kim Thayil, Pinback‘s Rob Crow, and Dale’s Altamont bandmate Dan Southwick.

The first single off the album is “Doug Yuletide,” a catchy garage-rock tribute to the later-era Velvet Underground member featuring Southwick and some wicked leads. Watch the video for that below.

Dale will be busy this summer on tour with Redd Kross both as drummer and as the opening act, including NYC-area shows at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on 7/25 and Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on 7/26. He’s also got a few California shows with Rob Crow and all dates are listed below.
