Drummer Will Attempt to Play Foo Fighters’ Discography in One Sitting for Charity
On June 7th, drummer Greg Barton will be “Foo Fighting Cancer” by playing through every single Foo Fighters song in their discography in one sitting.
Barton, a professional drummer with over 15 years of experience, will play through all 128 Foo Fighters songs from each of their 12 albums. He’s embarking on this challenge in honor of his Grandmother, who is battling cancer, as well as a tribute to Foo Fighters’ late drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Barton has added a donation link for viewers to contribute to, and all proceeds will go to the Cancer Research Institute.
The play-through will last nine-and-a-half hours, and Barton will aim to complete it in one single take without stopping. According to Barton, he’s been preparing for months, isolating each Foo Fighters drum track with AI to improve his practice sessions. “Before you say, ‘That’s impossible,’ I did a six-hour play through last month and feel confident I can go the distance!,” Barton said.
