SHAKIRA
Shakira announced her arena tour at the start of the week and has since added second shows in Palm Springs, Miami and Brooklyn (Barclays Center on December 5 & 6).
MONTREUX JAZZ FEST
If you’ve always wanted a festival that has Massive Attack, Deep Purple, Dionne Warwick, Kraftwerk, Jon Batiste, PJ Harvey, Diana Krall, André 3000, and Sting, the 2024 Montreux Jazz Festival is for you.
THE BABIES (KEVIN MORBY & CASSIE RAMONE)
Kevin Morby and Cassie Ramone are getting their early-2010s band, The Babies, back together for NYC and LA shows in September. They’ve added a second LA show on September 19 at Teragram Ballroom (they also play 9/18).
JOANNA NEWSOM
Last month, Joanna Newsom announced a Los Angeles solo harp and piano residency, “The Strings/Keys Reincidence,” following her set at Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party. She’s now added two more shows.
SILVERSUN PICKUPS
California band Silversun Pickups have added June dates to their 2024 tour schedule, hitting Las Vegas, Tucson, Albuquerque, Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, Baton Rouge, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Charlotte, Charlottesville, Port Chester (Capitol Theater on 6/22), Boston, Deerfield, NYC (Brooklyn Steel on 6/27), Asbury Park (Stone Pony on 6/28), and Glenside, PA.
UNDEROATH
Underoath have added shows to their ‘They’re Only Chasing Safety’ tour, with second nights in Denver, Santa Ana, Sacramento, and St. Petersberg. The NYC-area gets shows on September 20 and 21 at Palladium Times Square and December 4 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.
MATTHEW SWEET
Matthew Sweet is currently on tour, having played NYC last night, and has upcoming shows in Jersey City, DC, Cincinnati, and Plainfield, IN.
RINGO STARR’S ALL-STARR BAND
Ringo Starr will be on the road with his All Starr Band — Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette — this spring, and he’s announced a new run of shows in the fall, stopping in Omaha, Washington DC, Philadelphia, NYC, and more.
HARRISON GORDON / TRSH
Two literal and stylistically Midwest emo bands, Harrison Gordon (from Normal, IL) and TRSH (from Springfield, MO), will hit the road together this May/June. That’s a great pairing of two new-ish, rising bands, and it makes stops in Cincinnati, Nashville, Atlanta, Baltimore, Philly, NYC, and more.
HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF
Hurray for the Riff Raff‘s 2024 album The Past Is Still Alive is one of our favorites of the year so far, and they’ll continue to support it on a new North American summer tour. Dates begin in July and include headlining shows with Hannah Frances, and some shows supporting Norah Jones.
RIVER & BLUES 2024
NYC’s River & Blues Festival will be back this summer with free shows on four consecutive Thursdays, from July 11 – August 1 in Battery Park City. This will be their second year at Rockefeller Park and here’s the 2024 lineup.
SPIRITUAL CRAMP / WHITE REAPER
Spiritual Cramp and White Reaper, who just released a split single, will be touring together this summer.
