GIRL IN RED

girl in red has added second dates in a number of cities on her spring tour, including Philadelphia, DC, Nashville, Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto, and NYC (Radio City Music Hall on April 24 & 25). All dates are here.

VAMPIRE WEEKEND

Vampire Weekend have released the first two singles from Only God Was Above Us and announced a massive tour.

NEIL YOUNG

Neil Young & Crazy Horse will be on the road starting in April in support of their new album FU##IN’ UP, and they just added a second NYC show.

PIG DESTROYER / NO/MÁS / JARHEAD FERTILIZER

An onslaught of grind is hitting the Northeast this April.

NOUN (MARISSA PATERNOSTER) WITH RADIATOR HOSPITAL & MORE

Screaming Females may be no more, but Marissa Paternoster’s other project Noun has shows coming up this month, followed by a Ridgewood, NY show on May 19 at Sundown with Radiator Hospital. That’s an awesome double bill, and it appears to be a one-off at the moment.

WILL HAVEN

Having released their great new album VII last year, Sacramento post-hardcore/alt-metal vets Will Haven are coming to the East Coast for relatively rare Baltimore and Brooklyn shows surrounding their appearance at Decibel Fest in Philly.

TYLER RAMSEY

Former Band of Horses guitarist Tyler Ramsey is about to begin a tour in support of his new Phil Ek-produced album New Lost Ages. Following in-stores tonight (2/16) and tomorrow (2/17), the tour begins in DC on Tuesday (2/20) and hits NYC on Thursday (2/22) at Mercury Lounge with Jeremy Lister. All dates here.

MK.GEE

Mk.gee will be on tour soon in support of his new album and he’s added second shows in Los Angeles (Fonda Theatre on April 24 & 25) and NYC (Elsewhere on May 16 and Irving Plaza on May 17).

LA FEMME

The Parisian band return to North America in November for a run of shows.

SWAMI JOHN REIS

Swami & The Bed of Nails, the band from Swami John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Rocket from the Crypt) will release their debut album later this year and will tour this spring.

DAN BOECKNER (WOLF PARADE)

Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade, Divine Fits, Handsome Furs and more will support his solo debut on tour later this year.

EARTHLESS / MINAMI DEUTSCH

“So stoked to share that we will be trottin’ over to the Midwest, East Coast and down South in April,” say Earthless. Along for the ride will be Japan’s Minami Deutsch and dates include Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on April 20.

TINLICKER

Dutch duo Tinlicker just released their debut album, Cold Enough For Snow, and have announced a North American tour in support. The tour wraps up in NYC on October 12 at Terminal 5.

VS SELF

Southern California twinkly screamo band Vs Self have been on the rise, and now they’re going on an extensive spring tour.

JENNIFER LOPEZ

J.Lo will support her first album in nearly 10 years, This Is Me…Now, on tour this summer.

MEI SEMONES

Brooklyn singer-songwriter Mei Semones makes ethereal, folky indie rock that is jazzy, dexterous and string-laden with just a dash of bossa-nova. She just announced her debut EP and a tour.

VOXTROT

Voxtrot will be playing shows around their home state soon, hitting Houston, San Antonio and Dallas starting at the end of February. And if you’re going to Primavera Sound, they’ll be there too.

DENT MAY

Dent May has a new album out this spring and will tour for it.

BAR ITALIA

bar italia begin their North American tour soon with a Brooklyn show, and they’ve added a more intimate NYC date the next night.

KORINE

Philly darkwave duo are hitting the road in support of their new remix album.

SYSTEM EXCLUSIVE

California synthpop/shoegaze/garage duo System Exclusive will release their second album on May 24, and their tour hits 40 North American cities this winter and fall.

WORKING FAMILIES PARTY “POLITICS HOUSE” @ SXSW

If you’re heading to Austin in March for SXSW, “Politics House” is a two day takeover at Parish on 3/11 and 3/12 presented by Working Families and offering “cutting edge talent alongside progressive politicians and organizers during this vital election year.” Performances include Estevie, Yaya Bey, Luna Luna and more. From the PR, there are also evening parties with “Austin’s preeminent queer country night Neon Rainbows with DJ Boi Orbison, including a drag show hosted by Brigitte Bandit – the trans activist and drag artist whose testimonies against anti-queer legislation in the Texas Senate earned the admiration of many, including Dolly Parton – and a cumbia dance party featuring DJ Sizzle of LA-based collective Cumbiatón presented by Mijente.
